Suonho/GUAJIRA REBOGALOO YELLOW VINYL 7"
Groove Dis Exclusive. Latest limited edition 7" edit single from SUONHO, this time digging into the world of Latin Boogaloo for these reworkings. RALPH ROBLES "TAKING OVER" is backed with TITO RODRIGUEZ "MI GUAJIRA SI". Yellow vinyl limited to 300 copies, housed in a black die-cut sleeve. (GLENVIEW)

From the label:

On side A the unmistakable Fania sound from Ralph Robles’ "Taking Over", taken from 1968 LP "Conquistando", gets a new life with a rhythm section borrowed from both Wilson Pickett and Arthur Conley! The result is a tumultuous Latin soul take with a strong boogaloo accent.

On Side B Suonho flips the Puerto Rican singer and bandleader Tito Rodriguez with "Mi Guajira Si", taken from the 1968 album "Big Band Latino". The track get beats and percussion modeled on a solid Henri Mancini pattern for another solid Northern-Latin-soul mover!

Rare pieces reworked with much care by Suonho, with his genuine trademark touch, to inject a whole load of energy without affecting the original sixties Latin feeling. An unmissable release with immense dancefloor appeal!"
